Japan Impact, though, is not only the work of PolyJapan. Several persons had a key role in the organization of this convention, in particular:

  • Franck Boisseau
  • Julia Breider
  • Sabine Bisotto
  • Caroline Vuagniaux
  • The Cercle Suisse Japon

We would like to particularly thank them, for this event would probably not have taken place without their precious help ^^

The PolyJapan Association

We are a student association from EPFL, tied to the AGEPoly. Our goal is to promote and introduce the various facets of the Japanese culture, especially on the university campus in Lausanne. The association is also there to allow those already interested by Japan to share their passion, and discover even more!

Our non-profit-making association, PolyJapan, is exclusively composed of students. Our passion for Japan solely gives us the motivation and energy to use the time left free by our studies to introduce and share our preferred aspects of this fascinating country.

Since its early debuts, the association organizes regularly free screenings of Japanese animation series and films, which frequency has increased as the time passed, to reach today a weekly basis. These sessions, meant for the students, have allowed them to lean something about several elements of the Japanese culture.

Wishing to diversify our activities, Japanese language courses accessible to the students were put in place, with a certain success with the campus population.

But the Japanese culture does not stop there! One should not forget to mention its mangas, music, gastronomy,… the list goes on! Looking to introduce various facets of Japan, we want to grow in order to share our passion with a maximum of people and turn our events into an opportunity to better know this culture which combines with verve tradition and modernity.
