Following the success of her previous appearances, Yasuka Mastro (@midnightblossom_ge) returns to Japan Impact 2026 to explore the kimono from new perspectives 👘

A certified traditional kimono dresser and creator, Midnight Blossom will first offer a kitsuke demonstration, the art of wearing the kimono, where, step by step, she will reveal the gestures, codes, and subtleties of this practice.

She will then host a talk entitled “Ecology, globalization, sustainability: the challenges of the kimono today.” Through a reflection bridging past and future, she will shed light on the current realities of a garment often perceived as “on the verge of extinction”, questioning overconsumption, responsible fashion, and the place of the kimono in the habits of today’s consumers.
