Let yourself be carried away by the sunny sounds of Okinawa with Utakiambi!

Utakiambi (@utakiambi) is a quartet of traditional Okinawan music, who will be giving an authentic and festive concert at Japan Impact! 🌺

Based in Geneva, these passionate musicians have been sharing the cultural richness of the Ryūkyū Islands through folk songs and classical Okinawan music ever since their first appearance at Japan Impact in 2023.

The name Utakiambi, which means “to sing and have fun” in the dialect of Yonaguni Island (the island farthest from mainland Japan), perfectly reflects the spirit of the group: spreading joy and friendliness through music.

During their performance, the musicians will also be joined by Bon Odori dancers, a traditional Okinawan dance, to offer you a truly immersive show. 🎶
