Did you enjoy visiting Japan Impact during its recent editions and want to discover what goes on behind the scenes? Become a staff member for the February 14-15, 2026 edition and directly contribute to the festival's success!

Information sessions

The first sessions will take place:
  • November 22 – SG1 at 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM (during the Manga Fair)
  • December 11 – CO2 at 7:15 PM
  • On EPFL campus and via videoconference.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum age to register?

The minimum age is 16 years old at the time of the event. A signed parental authorization will be required before the festival.

Are staff members paid?

No, staff members are volunteers. In exchange:


  • you are fed during the entire setup week and the event

  • you have a place to sleep on-site if needed

  • you receive a staff t-shirt, unique to the edition

  • you receive an official Japan Impact glass

  • and you receive two 1-day passes to give away

When can I start helping with the organization?

You can help:


  • with decoration 2 weeks before the event;

  • with setup during the week before Japan Impact;

  • during the Japan Impact weekend;

  • with teardown on Sunday evening.

When will I know my schedule?

The schedule will be sent to you the week before Japan Impact. You will probably have several positions to discover different aspects of staffing.

What is the staff photo wall?

We create a large poster with photos of all staff members and committee members, displayed in the break room. Your photos will not be shared elsewhere.
