What’s New in 2026

The 17th edition of Japan Impact will take place during the weekend of February 14 to 15, 2026!

Registrations

Thank you for your enthusiasm! The information sessions for the recruitment of our staff will take place on November 22 and December 11, 2025, at EPFL and online. To receive the details, follow us on our social media or register on the platform: Staff to receive the information by email.

Write to us at pro@japan-impact.ch. Registration deadlines depend on the nature of the booth or the performance.

We announce the opening of registrations for our contests, as well as updates to the regulations, on our social media.

Access

You will find all information regarding parking spaces, access and opening hours in the section: “Info” → “Access” !

ATMs are available inside the convention. You will find one next to the Post Office on Avenue Picard. Another one is outside the convention at the Migros near the “EPFL” stop of the M1. >Attention ! The Credit Suisse ATM that was previously inside the convention no longer exists! You will have to go outside to withdraw money.

Yes, the convention is fully accessible to Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM). In addition, at the entrance of the convention, you will find signs indicating the location of the adapted access points. If your condition requires the presence of another person, they may accompany you for free during the convention.

For authorisations regarding recreational cosplays (outside the framework of a contest), please refer to the following section: “Info” → “Security” !

Yes, this is possible as long as you keep your wristband on.

Ticketing

You can buy your ticket online until the end of the event. You can also buy tickets on-site, but sales will be limited!

The delay between the order and the reception of the tickets is longer than with other payment methods. If you have not received your ticket after 30 minutes, contact our IT service.

No, the digital version of your ticket is sufficient.

Entry tickets are non-refundable. However, our online shop will remain open throughout the weekend, except in exceptional circumstances. Note that the prices of 2-day tickets will be changed to correspond to those of tickets purchased on-site, about 1 hour before the opening of the convention on Saturday morning.

Health and well-being

Yes, but be careful! Glass is strictly prohibited inside the convention. Water fountains will be available just before the restrooms. In addition, a picnic area is planned and will be indicated on the maps.

The infirmary is located on the ground floor of the CE building. To access it, go to the elevator in the dark blue zone, next to the concert hall (Matsuri hall). Do not hesitate to ask our friendly staff for help!

Any element that would allow the doctor present at our convention to identify the nature of a crisis and which treatments are effective for you is welcome (official card, medallion, unique medication kit, …).
In addition, for hygiene reasons, if you have an assistance dog it must wait outside the infirmary during your care.

Our concert stages, demonstration areas and video game zones are notably known for being noisy spaces. We provide free foam earplugs, available from staff wearing yellow vests nearby or at the reception. Do not hesitate to ask our staff where the Silence Room is or at the reception which activities are generally calmer.

Yes, we have set up a calm and silent room for all those who need a moment of rest.

Hygienic products are available in the accessible restrooms. The models vary from one stall to another.

Families

There is no minimum age to come to Japan Impact, and children under 7 years old have free access to the convention.

Go to the reception or the Rallye stand; volunteers will help you find your child. Please note that stickers and pens will be available at these locations, allowing you to write your contact information on your child.

Yes, however glass containers and bottles are strictly prohibited. In addition, we have set up a nursing room so that you can feed your child in peace.

No, a picnic area is nevertheless set up and indicated on the maps.

We have a family area where your children can draw and do crafts under your supervision. We remind you that accompanying persons remain solely responsible for their children! We do not have a daycare where you can leave your children unsupervised.

A space is reserved for you near the cloakrooms, at the entrance of the convention, to leave your stroller for a moment if you wish. Spaces are also set up near the nursing rooms when space permits.
